Teen Science Cafe at Lab:Revolution is a series of informal, interactive science programs led by scientists and engineers who are experts in their fields.   TSC at Lab:Revo is free and open to all area teens but teens must RSVP to attend the events.

Join us as we learn about CRISPR - the revolutionary new technology for gene editing. It's like a word processor for genetic code and it's already being used around the world to cure disease, develop new plants and animals, and expand our understanding of how cells work.

Like all new technologies, CRISPR presents risks, opportunities, and benefits for different people. It also raises new ethical and societal impacts that need to be considered. At this Cafe, presented by scientists from the Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis,  we'll learn how CRISPR works and investigate some of the issues related to this powerful new tool.
